Traditional soft starters use preset ramp voltage control for starting. Emotron TSA, however, continuously calculates and controls the actual torque of the motor according to application needs. This torque control function ensures a very smooth start during continuous acceleration. Torque control further reduces the starting current by 30%. Therefore, smaller fuses can be used, more economical cables, and both installation costs and energy consumption are reduced. Smooth starting also lowers mechanical stress, improves process control, and reduces maintenance costs.

Programmable Inputs Increase Flexibility
Four programmable inputs greatly enhance flexibility. Two inputs for left/right start can control fan rotation direction without an external PLC. You can connect an external alarm signal to stop the motor when a problem occurs. An analog sensor can be connected directly to emotron TSA to control pump start and stop standards.
Fast and Cost-Effective Installation
emotron TSA installs quickly and cost-effectively. No additional devices usually required – such as DC braking, motor protection relays, AC power failure relays, load monitors, meters, displays, or switches. Everything you need is included within the emotron TSA unit.

A series of options allow you to select the functions of emotron TSA 2.0 according to specific needs and fully utilize this product based entirely on your requirements.
External Control Panel
Used to move the control panel from the soft starter to the front of a control cabinet or panel door. The maximum distance between the soft starter and the external control panel is 3 meters.
EmoSoftCom
Software used for debugging, file generation, and recording.
Communication
Tabs for serial communication (RS232, RS485, Modbus) as well as fieldbus communication (Profibus, DeviceNet, and Ethernet).
Cable Kit for External Current Transformer
Used in conjunction with the bypass function, it can be used to connect an external current transformer.
Cable Entry Box
Connect cables using cable sealing sleeves; can be installed on TSA 017-085. Protection rating is IP20.
